Project Cicero Bay Area will be At Kittredge!

The Book Drive begins next Monday and Ends next Thursday

The Kittredge community is partnering with Project Cicero Bay Area (click this link to see the flyer: Cicero). We are taking part in a children’s book drive designed to create and supplement classroom libraries in schools that desperately need books. Many other San Francisco schools are participating, and together, we hope to collect and distribute thousands of books to over 300 teachers, reaching 10,000 students in need this year.

Books in need are: Beginning Readers, Picture Books, Board Books, Early and Middle Grade Chapter Books, Young Adult Fiction, Graphic Novels, Classic Literature, Geography/History, Multicultural Literature, Biographies, Poetry, Plays/Drama, Up-to-date Reference. Please no Adult Books or textbooks.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Next Week!

Thank you to everyone for returning your conference forms. Confirmations of your time are being returned to your child to bring home today.

Please remember that school will be dismissed at noon and there will be no Study Hall on conference days. Extended Day will be open for those who have a signed contract or want per-diem coverage for their child. Another survey monkey form will be emailed for Extended Day sign ups.

Bake Sale Next Thursday, March 17

Our 4th and 5th graders will host a bake sale next Thursday. Student Council has voted to donate the proceeds to Breast Cancer Awareness. Goodies will be available during snack for the students as well as during Parent Conferences for the parents.

The Kittredge School Talent Show is Wednesday, March 30 at 6:30

***Important: Extendo will close at 5:00***

Please join us at Kanbar Hall in the JCCSF for a great time! The doors to Kanbar Hall will be open at 6:00. Please make sure that you are there by 6:15 so you don’t miss a minute of this wonderful evening.

Classes are working on their group performances with Ms. Elisabeth. Each child’s role in the class production is important so please let us know if your child will not be attending the talent show.

We hope all students and families will attend. Have your child show you what they are doing!

Summer at Kittredge – June 20 to July 22

Summer is a great opportunity to engage children in activities that enrich their academic foundation and keep them involved and interested in learning.

Our 5-week summer program is open to students entering first through eighth grades. Mornings are designed to keep students active and their grade level skills strong. The afternoons offer a variety of free play and structured activities. If you are interested, please return an enrollment form to reserve a space for your child. Applications are available in the office or you can download one from our website.

KPA Pre-Auction Wine Drive and Party!

Hi Awesome Pals!  KPA would like to humbly remind you to come to the Saturday April 2nd Auction Wine Drive and Bender, and maybe a Drink-N-Spell Bee at 225 San Anselmo Ave at 6PM!!

The wine bottles we raise that night (through you), we will sell back to you on Auction Night! We will cautiously wrap and display the wine for anyone to bid on at the Log Cabin, May 7th, and all the money goes straight to KPA! You are so great to do this!!! It’s for the kids of course, Wine and Kids! Can’t make one without the other, now can you!

Please bring your favorite bottle or two! We will have tags at the door so you can write your name on the incredible donation and a story if you like about why this wine is meaningful to you! We can get to know you even better that way!     xxxx, mwah, Kristen Kadner
