Kittredge Konnection – February 25, 2020

Enrollment for Next Year

We have received reenrollment confirmation from every family who is returning… thank you all! We look forward to another year together with you and your lovely children.

The next step is creating a Tuition Agreement by choosing your payment dates, options, and methods. TADS sent that link out to you on Friday, February 14 and the information needs to be completed by this Friday, February 28.

Thank you to everyone who has already completed that step. Please let us know if you have any problems or concerns.

Music and Scripts for the Talent Show are Needed by Wednesday

If your child has turned in an audition form, Karen needs his or her final script or music by Wednesday (tomorrow). Without this information, she will not be able guarantee a spot in the show.

Project Cicero Bay Area will be At Kittredge!

The Book Drive begins next Monday and Ends next Thursday

The Kittredge community is partnering with Project Cicero Bay Area. We are taking part in a children’s book drive designed to create and supplement classroom libraries in schools that desperately need books. Many other San Francisco schools are participating, and together, we hope to collect and distribute thousands of books to over 300 teachers, reaching 10,000 students in need this year.

Books in need are: Beginning Readers, Picture Books, Board Books, Early and Middle Grade Chapter Books, Young Adult Fiction, Graphic Novels, Classic Literature, Geography/History, Multicultural Literature, Biographies, Poetry, Plays/Drama, Up-to-date Reference. Please no Adult Books or textbooks.

Futsal Season is Starting

Futsal is a fast paced game of indoor soccer. We will field a co-ed Varsity team this year. If your middle school child is interested and eligible to play, permission slips will be going home later this week and practices will begin next week. Go Kittredge!

Our Second Trimester Ends March 20

Please remember that all middle school parents can check on their child’s grades and assignments using their TeacherEase account. With three weeks of the grading period left, now is a great time to see what is going on!

The Kittredge School Talent Show is Scheduled for March 26 at 6:15

Extended Day will close at 5:00

Please mark your calendars now to make sure you and your child can attend this entertaining evening of talent. Classes are busy working on their group performances with Karen DeTore. We hope all students and families will attend.

Each child’s role in the class production is important so please let us know if your child will not be attending the talent show.

Staff Development Day – March 27

There will be no classes on Friday, March 27. This staff development day will give us a chance to meet, prepare and review curriculum.

A Survey Monkey questionnaire will be emailed in March. We ask each parent to respond with a “yes” or “no” whether their child will attend Extendo. Thank you in advance!

Join us on March 14 at this Year’s Spring Auction

A Note From Leyla Cebeci and Alexandra Feldman Co-Chairs, Spring Auction

The Spring Dinner and Auction planning is in full swing – we are looking forward to a fun-filled evening celebrating our fabulous Kittredge KommUnity at Arguello Restaurant on March 14, 2020!

Sponsorship and Live Auction Donations are crucial ingredients in the event’s success! You can ensure our success by donating a sponsorship — as each level of donation enhances our kids’ learning. We are also seeking items/experiences for our live auction. In the past years, popular auctions items have included: weekend getaways and sports/entertainment/cultural tickets.

Please consider purchasing tickets and donating early, it expedites the organization of the auction!

“Count-Me-Ins” for the Spring Auction

A note from Homa Hanjani, Chair

This is an invitation to ALL Kittredge Teachers, Parents, and Community Members

In the interest of inclusivity, we want to offer a variety of memorable experiences with varying predictable prices. The ones that were hosted last year were a success… and everyone is encouraged to offer something!

If you are interested in hosting or organizing an event please provide us with the information on this form by February 20th:
