Kittredge Konnection – April 25, 2017

Next Week is Screen-Free Week: Monday, May 1 to Sunday, May 7

We hope that many of our students and families will join the fun and turn off their screens for 7 days. For entertainment, participants are able to read, daydream, explore, enjoy nature, and spend time with family and friends. This annual celebration gives children, families, schools and communities a chance to turn off screens and turn on life.

Screens can still be used for homework and business but not for entertainment. The idea of this week is to find and enjoy other means of amusement and socializing for seven days.

Kittredge Team Sports Shop

BSN Sports has worked with our PE teacher Ms. Gules, to open another Kittredge School Pop-Up store.

The online store is open now through next Tuesday, May 3. Your order should arrive at Kittredge on May 25.

This time we have added full-zip hoodies for men and women along with youth size shorts. You will also see the t-shirts, hoodies (the women’s one is fleece this time), warm-up jacket and hat that were so popular last time.

Everyone looks great in Kittredge gear! It’s been wonderful seeing it around the school and sharing our Kittredge pride!

Thank you Ryan!!

Eighth grader Ryan Lee is a well-loved and respected docent for Alcatraz Island Tours, run by the US Park Service. Because of their appreciation of Ryan, his supervisors have offered complimentary tickets for his classmates to have a tour. This extremely generous offer has made it possible for our 7th and 8th graders to go on an amazing field trip next Wednesday.
