Thank You for Coming to the Fall Picnic!

Another successful Fall Picnic in the books! We loved seeing students, parents, teachers, and alumni chatting, laughing, and playing in Mountain Lake Park. Between the delish potluck dishes and the great company, we truly couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off the year. Thank you, Kittredge!

Back-to-School Night is TOMORROW!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm we invite you to join us here at Kittredge for a night of getting to know your child's teachers, and the rest of the school! As a reminder, this is an opportunity to meet your child's teachers, but this is not a parent-teacher conference. Please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a meeting if you need a one-on-one discussion.

We understand that some parents have multiple Kittredge students, and need to split between two classrooms. If this is the case for you, we understand! Your child's teacher can make sure you get all of the information you need. Similarly, if you are unable to attend Back-to-School Night, please let us know! We will make sure to get you the important information.

Extended Day will close at 6pm, as usual. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer childcare during Back to School night.

Hot Lunch

Hot Lunch this Friday (9/12) will be: Caesar Salad, Juice Box, Piece of Fruit, Side Item.

The cost of each lunch will be $9.00. A second (or even a third) slice, bagel, etc. may be ordered for an additional $3.00 each.

If you have not already done so for the month, place your orders using this Google form,

Orders are placed on Thursday morning. All orders must be submitted by end of day on Wednesday.

Drop Off and Pick up Reminders

Thank you to all of our parents for making drop off and pick up run smoothly and safely. We want to make sure that we are continuing to create a safe environment for our community and neighborhood! With this in mind, please be careful driving around the school and looking out for all our little friends that may still be learning crosswalk safety. If it means being safe, do not hesitate to take an extra loop around the block even if it will make your student a few minutes late. Safety is our top priority and we want to take care of our community!

Cross Country

Cross Country has begun! Practices are Monday and Wednesday after school 3:15-4:00pm. The first meet is next Monday, September 15th at 4:30pm, and will be at Hellman Hollow in Golden Gate Park.

Science Club Starts TODAY

Science Club with Ms. Rose is back for the 2025-2026 school year! Science Club is an after-school STEAM program where students grades 1-8 can engage with the natural world and develop their curiosity and creativity! Meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:30 beginning this Tuesday (Today!!).

Fall Cooking Club Starts Tomorrow

Fall cooking club starts tomorrow after school, so make sure you don't miss out! It will run from 3:30 to 4:30/4:45 on Wednesdays.

Illustrator's Workshop starts on Thursday

Make sure not to miss a chance to dive into new and familiar artwork with our very own Katie! Illustrator's Workshop starts this Thursday from 3:15 to 4:30.

Student Council

We want to extend a huge congratulations to all of our incredible candidates that ran for Student Council this year!! Congratulations to Spencer, Mo, Solomon, Druhva, Grange, Cassie, Mika, Owen, Lila, Kai, and Hendrick! You guys ROCK!! We couldn't be more proud of the students who put themselves out there, tried something new, and volunteered to be a part of what makes Kittredge great!

Volleyball Starts Next Week

Permission slips will go out this week to 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in joining the volleyball team. The season gets off to a quick start with our first game NEXT Friday!

Chess Club is Back!

KPA Korner

KPA Meeting on September 16 at 6 p.m.

First KPA Meeting will be on Tuesday, September 16th from 6-7pm. We will be asking for volunteers to lead some of the upcoming KPA events. Please join in person if you can, but we will have Zoom available for those unable to join in person. Childcare and pizza will be available during the meeting. If you're new to the community or returning, this is the opportunity to hear about how you can get involved!
