Tonight is the October KPA Meeting; 6pm to 7pm
All parents are invited to come and join the October meeting. New officers were confirmed last month and discussions about the Holiday Happening and the Spring Auction are underway. A pizza snack and childcare is available for Kittredge students.

Online Applications are Available Now; Sibling Applications are Due November 19
You can now go online to begin the application process for 2019-2020. The link is on our website www.kittredge.org under “how to apply”.

There is Still Some Room in our Open House Tomorrow at 7pm
If anyone knows a family interested in attending Kittredge next year, there are some openings at our first Open House tomorrow evening. Please have them call the office at 415-750-8390 to reserve a spot.

October 11 and 17 are 8th Grade High School Days
On this Thursday as well as next Wednesday there will be no classes for our 8th grade students. These days are scheduled to help and support our 8th graders while they are visiting high schools and working on their applications.

Friday Evening is the KPA Social at RM 212
A Kittredge parent and teacher get-together is always fun, and adding great food and drinks to the gathering makes it better still. Please come to meet the new parents and see your old friends. The KPA is hosting this adult’s only event.

Lifetouch Class Group Pictures and Retakes – October 18
Students were given their school pictures last Friday. You can order online or return them for retake day next week. Class pictures will also be taken at that time.

OTHER OCTOBER NEWS
Halloween at Kittredge
All students may come to school in costume on Wednesday, October 31. Costumes cannot include weapons or toy weapons of any kind. Masks and other accessories should be kept in a bag until the parade (weather permitting) at 2:00. Parents are invited (and encouraged!) to attend.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF
Student council will once again sponsor this successful program. UNICEF boxes will be distributed to each student who wants to participate. The campaign will end on November 2 and the boxes must be in by that morning to count toward your class total.

Way to Go, Loren!!
Smart and talented 7th grader, Loren Gigi, has been accepted into the San Fran. Symphony Youth Orchestra and is playing violin in their 2018-2019 season. Loren’s mother, Oxana has generously offered to organize students and families interested in attending any of the concerts.
