This Week's News

Hot Lunch

Hot Lunch this Friday (10/10) will be: Burrito Bowl, Juice Box, Fruit/Veg, and a Side Item. If your child is in K-3 and going to the pumpkin patch this Friday, Hot Lunch will NOT be offered on the field trip.

The cost of each lunch will be $9.00. A second (or even a third) slice, bagel, etc. may be ordered for an additional $3.00 each.

If you have not already done so for the month, place your orders using this Google form,

Orders are placed on Thursday morning. All orders must be submitted by end of day on Wednesday.

One Bright Color Day

You may have noticed that the Kittredge was a whole lot brighter on Friday... that's because it was One Bright Color Day! Students and teachers came dressed head to toe in color! It was so much fun to see everyone all dressed up, that we think we'll dress up again next month! Stay tuned for next month's Spirit Day!

Sports Report

Our next cross country meet is TODAY, October 7, at McClaren. The meet will begin at 4:30. Our next volleyball game is next Thursday, October 23, against SF School at SF School. The game will begin at 4:00pm.

Open Houses

Our first of three open houses is TONIGHT. If you know anyone who would be a great addition to Kittredge or may be interested in learning more about us, these are a great opportunity to do so!

K-3 Pumpkin Patch Trip 10/10

Ms. Grazi's and Ms. Horrocks' classes are heading to the Pumpkin Patch this Friday. Please make sure your child has appropriate footwear and clothing for this trip. A hearty lunch and full water bottle will set your child up for a successful field trip. If you are planning to drive, please make sure your driver form is completed and on file with the office.

Fall Break

There will be no school next week, from October 13-17. We will be holding Extended Day from Tuesday through Friday from 7:45 to 6:00. Use this Google Form to sign up for any of the days.

Looking Ahead

Chess Club

We are now offering an abridged Chess Club on Fridays running from the end of October to early December. There will be 5 sessions running from 3:15 to 4:15. Find more information in the document below and register through this link.

Cooking Club

We had such a good time with the last few weeks of Cooking Club, so we are doing it again!! Find the document below for more information on the next session of Cooking Club November through December. Find the link here (password is kittredge).

High School Visits

If you talk to our 8th grade students, you'll know that high school application season is in full swing. Students have the opportunity to meet representatives from different high schools throughout the fall. Students can look forward to the following visits in the next few weeks:

October 27 - Branson

October 17 - Sacred Heart Cathedral

Circus Bella

The 4/5 class is going on an outing to see Circus Bella's winter show, Starlight, on 12/14. Circus Bella is a SF based circus group and a non profit organization with amazing artists. Circus Bella has generously extended a 15% discount to the entire Kittredge School community if anyone is interested in watching Starlight (there are many shows in December and January). Our Special code is KITTREDGE15, and the code is good until 10/22.

Halloween Parade

Halloween is right around the corner!! On Friday, October 31st, parents and family members are invited to join us at 2pm for our annual holiday parade. Kittredge students, teachers, and community members will parade around the block before gathering at Rochambeau Park for some Halloween festivities, led by our performing arts teacher Ms. K!

Parents, if you plan to depart with your child after the festivities, please make sure to swing by the office before you leave. All students will leave their belongings in their classrooms during the parade.

KPA Korner

Fall Fundraising Raffle and Count Me In Sign Ups Open Friday

Lookout for an email this Friday with a link to the fall fundraising raffle and CMIs. Purchase your raffle tickets for amazing prizes, like a family photography session, SF Giants tickets, Apple iPad, Symphony tickets, and more! Plus, sign up for CMIs that are scheduled all year round. Kittredge families and teachers are sponsoring fun events like a Kittredge tea party, Harry Potter Yule Ball, Top Golf social gathering, Christmas wreath workshop, and much more! Thanks to all the parents and community members for their donations of goods, services, time, and creativity. And thank you to Michelle Mah and Kevin Wong for their work putting this together!

Volunteers Wanted for Holiday Happening

We're looking for volunteers for this year's Holiday Happening on December 18! Reach out to Carla Bass (carlarosebass@gmail.com) and Adrianne Ford (adriannemarieford@gmail.com) if you're interested, and plan to attend the next KPA meeting on November 18. This is a favorite of the kids - let's make it a great one!

The next KPA Meeting will take place on Zoom on November 18 at 7 pm. We will be discussing the Holiday Happening and Teacher Gift Drive. We would love to see you there!
