Fall Field Trips

It’s been a busy fall at Kittredge! Our K–3 students had fun visiting the pumpkin patch, while our 6th–8th graders explored Alcatraz and our 6th and 7th graders visited the de Young Museum to see Treasures of the Pharaohs. It’s always fun to get out of the classroom, explore new places, and make memories together!

Parent Volunteers Wanted

We are excited to share that Kittredge School will celebrate Halloween on Oct 25 and Oct 31, passing out treats and spreading the word about the best little school in town.

If you would like to volunteer either outside of Kittredge or at the Great Hauntway, use this spreadsheet to sign up. We are also looking for volunteers to stuff goody bags--please join us!

Please consider donating a bag of candy. Donations will benefit our Kittredge Community Halloween event. Please drop off candy donations in the office on or before Thursday and Friday. We are looking forward to making a lot of little faces smile! Thank you for your support. hi

Admissions Season is Underway!

We hosted our first open house before the break. Thank you to Thad and Olesia for being our amazing student representatives. Thank you to graduate Owen and his mom Jessica for sharing their Kittredge experience. There are two more open houses on the horizon. Hot Lunch

Hot Lunch this Friday (10/23) will be: Turkey and Cheese Sandwiches, Juice Box, Fruit/Veg, and a Side Item.

The cost of each lunch will be $9.50. A second (or even a third) slice, bagel, etc. may be ordered for an additional $3.00 each.

Orders are placed on Thursday morning. All orders must be submitted by end of day on Wednesday.

Sports Report

Our Kittredge teams are finishing the season out strong with only a few more meets and games! We have a busy day this Friday, October 23, with both a volleyball game and a cross country meet! The volleyball game will be against SF Friends at SF Friends at 6pm. The cross country race is at Lindley Meadow in Golden Gate park - the walkthrough begins at 4pm. Let's do this Coyotes!

HandWorkShop and Science Club - Sign up Now!

Science Club with Ms. Rose is an exciting after-school STEAM enrichment program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Science Club is an opportunity to learn about science, have fun with friends, and make projects to bring home, or give as gifts to friends and family. It is available to students in grades 1-8! Science Club will be held on Tuesday from 3:15-4:30 starting Oct 27. Find all the details below!

Come dive into a world of creativity and imagination with the first ever session of HandWorkShop with Ms. Rose! Inspired by traditional and modern hardworking skills, unexpected, yet accessible materials, and individual creativity, come try new crafting techniques, and build with your hands. It is available to students in K-8! HandWorkShop will be held on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30 and starts Oct 28. Find all the details below!

Halloween Parade

Halloween is right around the corner!! Kids are invited to come to school in costume. On Friday, October 30th, parents and family members are invited to join us at 2pm for our annual holiday parade. Kittredge students, teachers, and community members will meet in front of the school and parade around the block before gathering at Rochambeau Playground for some Halloween festivities, led by our performing arts teacher Ms. K!

Parents, if you plan to depart with your child after the festivities, please make sure to swing by the office before you leave. All students will leave their belongings in their classrooms during the parade.

Picture Day

Time to start picking out those outfits, Kittredge! Picture Day is Thursday, November 5. Come ready to show your pearly whites and when the photos are available a few weeks after Picture Day, you can decide on photo package options. Keep an eye on your inbox for more details!

Tips & Hints for Photo Day

Solid colors and simple styles photograph best — busy patterns, plaids, and big logos can be distracting on camera. Collared shirts work great for a classic look. If school uniform, make sure it meets school standards. Camera-ready hair and a big smile, and you're all set!

Fall Fundraising is Underway!

Head over to our auction site, The Great Kittredge Gathering to buy your CMI and raffle tickets, and explore all the exciting items up for grabs. Be sure to share the link with friends and family too! The raffle closes on November 6 at 10 pm, so don't wait long. This year we have some amazing and generous raffle items, including a weekend getaway in Sonoma, Giants tickets, and the always popular chance to be principal for a day. And the fun CMIs are already starting to sell out! Don't miss your chance to join a bowling party, a tea party with Ms. Grazi and Ms. Sian, or a karaoke party! Thanks to all the parents and community members for their donations of goods, services, time, and creativity. And thank you to Michelle Mah and Kevin Wong for their work putting this together!
