Tomorrow is 8th Grade High School Day
Please remember there will be no Kittredge classes for 8th graders tomorrow. This is the second, and last, High School Day scheduled to support our 8th graders and their families while they are visiting high schools and working on their applications.

Volleyball Game at CAIS Wednesday (Tomorrow) @ 4
The Kittredge Volleyball team is getting better every day. They practice after school 2 days each week as well as daily at PE and recess. Everyone is invited to watch them play at the CAIS gym tomorrow at 4pm. Go Kittredge!

Running Meet on Friday
The Running Gags, our cross-country team, has its fourth race on October 18 at 4:30 at Lindley Meadow. Thank you to all the parent drivers for helping and to the parent coaches during practices. Go Gags!

KPA Fall Raffle is Underway – It’s Online (again) This Year!

Please consider purchasing raffle tickets to support the KPA. The Fall Raffle is in full swing with new exciting prizes:
1st: 2 Tickets to Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks on December 11, 2019
2nd: Gift certificate to a neighborhood restaurant ($200 value)
3rd: Membership to a museum of choice in San Francisco
4th: Hot lunches for the year (for all kids in the family attending Kittredge)

The Fall Raffle is an important way for the KPA to continue funding fantastic events like the Holiday Happening and Field Day, as well as keep field trips free, rent the JCC auditorium for the talent show and graduation, purchase computers and iPads, and so much more!
Participation Instructions:
1. Fill out the Google form (open by clicking here) and choose how many tickets you will buy. Please remember to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form.
2. Submit your payment by Friday, October 25th.

(Please include your child’s name with cash & check payments!)
3. You will receive an e-mail notification with your ticket numbers by October 27th.
Numbers are assigned sequentially based on the time of entry, which is auto-stamped.

NEXT WEEK’S NEWS
Pumpkin Patch Field Trip – Monday, October 21
Our K/1 and 2/3 classes will make their annual pilgrimage up north to a pumpkin farm. They will visit the Nicasio Pumpkin Patch this year where they will have a chance to go into the field and pick their own pumpkin.
Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to drive and chaperone this special trip. We couldn’t enjoy the day without you. Please make sure that your drivers information has been updated in the office and don’t forget to bring a booster or car seat for your child if it is needed for the ride.

Volleyball Games at St. Agnes
Next Wednesday and Friday our volleyball team will play at the St. Agnes gym in the Haight. These games are at 4:15pm and everyone is welcome to cheer our team on!

OTHER OCTOBER NEWS
Lifetouch Class Group Pictures and Retakes – October 29
Students were given their school pictures a couple weeks ago. You can order a packet online or return them on retake day. Class pictures will also be taken at that time.

Halloween at Kittredge – No Study Hall
All students should come to school in costume on Thursday, October 31. Costumes cannot include weapons, toy weapons or blood of any kind. Masks and other accessories should be kept in a bag until the parade (weather permitting) at 2:00. Parents are encouraged to attend.
School will be dismissed at 3pm. Extended Day is available but there will be no study hall.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF
Student council will once again sponsor this successful program. UNICEF boxes will be distributed to each student who wants to participate. The campaign will end on November 4 and the boxes must be in by that morning to count toward your class total.

NOVEMBER DATES TO REMEMBER
NatureBridge Meeting for 7th and 8th Grade Parents and Students – November 14 from 6:30 to 8
All 7th and 8th grade families are encouraged to attend this informational meeting. Come learn about a typical day at NatureBridge. You will get an overview of the week in Yosemite Park as well as a feel for what we expect of each student academically and socially. You will also get a look at the new NatureBridge facilities near Wawona.
This is a very important meeting for 7th graders and their families and a good refresher for our 8th grade families.

If you would like to have a sibling be considered for our 2020 early decision, please complete our TADS on-line application and return the parent and teacher forms by November 22. Early decisions will be sent December 18.
