Thank you Parent Volunteers!
We had so much help from our lovely parents this past week making some Halloween magic. From stuffing goodie bags, to passing out treats and spreading the word about the best little school in town we appreciate our community. Thank you!
Picture Day This Friday
Time to start picking out those outfits, Kittredge! Picture Day is this Friday, November 7. Have your kiddos ready to show their pearly whites and when the photos are available a few weeks after Picture Day, you can decide on photo package options. We will be sending home a flyer with more info with each kid this afternoon.
Open House
We have one more open house this upcoming this Saturday, November 8. We encourage prospective families to come check us out and get to know our space and our mission! If you know of a family who you think would be a great Kitt fit, send them our way! We would love to meet them.
Sibling Applications
If your family is applying for sibling priority, the deadline is November 15th. We can chat about the applications process and needed materials. Please reach out to the office with any questions. We are here to help!
Donate One Warm Coat Now Through Dec. 8th!
Â
Kittredge’s One Warm Coat Drive is on to help spread warmth to local families living in poverty and struggling to afford necessities this winter.Â
Â
You’re invited to drop off a gently used coat (children and adult sizes needed) inside one of two collection bins at Kittredge now through December 8th. You’ll find one collection bin just inside our front doors and a second bin located in the K/1 classroom.Â
Every coat we collect will be distributed to a child or adult in need at our local partner, St. Anthony’s.
Â
Don't have a used coat to donate? Feel free to ask friends and family members to look inside their closets, and/or consider donating any of the following gently used (and much-needed) items for children and adults: tops, bottoms, dresses and shoes; hats, gloves and scarves; belts; rain gear and umbrellas; towels and sheets; backpacks, duffel bags, purses or totes; blankets or sleeping bags. St. Anthony’s will also accept donations of any new socks, undergarments, diapers and cosmetic/personal hygiene items.
Â
Thank you to all who join this effort to help our neighbors stay safe and warm this winter! During the past 33 years, the nonprofit One Warm Coat has distributed nearly 9 million coats nationwide, keeping more than 22 million pounds of textiles out of landfills!
Questions or need a donation receipt? Email Adrianne Ford at adriannemarieford@gmail.com.

6th Grade Goes to the Mission
This Friday, November 7, our 6th grade class is going on a field trip to San Francisco's Mission District. Students will tour the colorful murals of the neighborhood before going to a taqueria for lunch, where they will order in Spanish, which they have been practicing. After lunch, they will visit the Mission Cultural Center. Students should bring money to purchase lunch, and should wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

Academy of Sciences
It's almost time for one of our favorite field trips of the year! Our annual school-wide trip to the Academy of Sciences is slotted for Thursday, November 20. We can't wait to walk through the rainforest, wave hello to penguins, and stand below towering dinosaurs with our students again this year! If you are scheduled as a driver, please make sure we have your driver info on file in the office.

Fall Fundraising Wrap Up
Thank you to our incredible community for another successful Fall Fundraiser! We surpassed our goal, raising $20,000 for our kids and school. We also exceeded our participation goal with 86% community participation, so our students will celebrate with a surprise ice cream treat later this month. We are so grateful for your generous donations and support! Raffle winners were announced at the Fall Social, and items that were not picked up at the party will be available at the office for pick up starting this Thursday afternoon.
CMI sign ups are still open, and some are selling out fast! Visit our site The Great Kittredge Harvest to join an event and get some quality time with friends and friends-to-be. And many thanks to Michelle Mah and Kevin Wong for leading the fundraising efforts, and to Michelle and Trae Stephens for hosting a fun and joyful Fall Social this past weekend!Â
