Kittredge Konnection – November 29, 2016

No December Hot Lunches!

Please remember to pack a lunch for your child this Friday because we are not offering a Hot Lunch.

We will continue our Friday lunches in January.

KPA Meeting Tonight – Tuesday, November 29

All parents are invited and encouraged to attend the November KPA meeting from 6 to 7pm. Details about the Holiday Happening and other KPA sponsored events will be discussed. As always, childcare and pizza are provided for Kittredge students.

Parent Conferences – Thursday and Friday, December 8 and 9

Thank you to everyone for returning your conference forms.

Confirmation of the day and time of your appointment was given to your child before Thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing you all next week!

Minimum Days for Parent Conferences, December 8 and 9

Please Complete Your Dismissal Information on Survey Monkey

Every parent is being asked to complete 5 easy questions on a survey monkey form so we know where to dismiss your child next week. Please remember that Thursday and Friday are noon dismissals so that teachers can meet for parent conferences.

Thanks in advance!

Student Council Elections

All students interested in running for a classroom or school-wide office will be given permission forms later this week to be signed and returned by next Tuesday. Our election for next term’s officers will be held on December 15, before our Winter Break. Student Council is open to students in 4th to 8th grades.

Let’s Not Forget Others… Toy Drive and Food Drive are in Progress

Please celebrate the holiday spirit by helping those less fortunate.

Toy Drive: A new, unwrapped toy or book will go the SF Fire Fighters Toy Drive. Our toy barrel is here and your generous donation can be dropped off at any time… or you can bring a toy or book to the Holiday Happening!

Food Drive: Canned and packaged goods will go to the SF Food Bank. Our barrel is here in the office and you can drop off items at any time.

Extended Day Will Close at 5pm on December 15th

Please note that all students should be picked up from Extended Day by 5pm Thursday, December 15.

This will give the planners some time to prepare the school for the Holiday Happening and it will give families some time together before coming back at 6:30 for the celebration.

Thanks for your help with this.

Holiday Happening – December 15th from 6:30 – 8:15

Extended Day will Close at 5:00!

All families are invited to attend Kittredge School’s annual Holiday Happening. Please mark your calendars now to make sure you don’t miss this wonderful event.

Please bring a finger food appetizer or finger food dessert to share.

  1. A sandwich snack/dinner is provided.

  2. There will be crafts and games for all.

  3. We’ll close with a community sing-a-long.

  4. As always, a great time is expected!

Rumor has it that Santa will make an appearance.

Important Note To All Parents: During the Holiday Happening, teachers will be busy running the games and helping with the food so please don’t rely on them to watch your children. Kittredge believes parents need to supervise their own children. There will be a lot of stimuli throughout the school and it can be overwhelming to some. Also, the party must stay inside the school building. Students will not be able to leave the school without parent supervision.
