Take Me Out to the Ball Game – Tomorrow, May 17

Tomorrow our 7th and 8th graders will head over to AT&T Park to eat, and oh yeah, cheer on the Giants! They will leave the Park when the game ends or at 3:45 and will return to Kittredge by 5pm.

Sixth Grade Sleepover – Tomorrow, May 17!

One of the highlights for our 6th graders is the night that Kevin and Ms. Gules are silly enough to sleep at the school with them. Tomorrow is that night. Here’s to another adventure at Kittredge!

Crazy Hair Day is This Thursday – May 18

“Flow it… Show it… Long as I can grow it, my hair.”

Everyone is invited to join this fun spirit day. Please help your child celebrate Crazy Hair Day by adding something a little creative and special to his or her regular hairdo. What could be better?? Hope to see lots of craziness on Thursday!

Screen Free Ice Cream Party – Thursday!

If your child completed 7 screen free days, please make sure to sign and return the confirmation slip. This slip allows your child to join the ice cream party. We hope to serve lots of ice cream!

No Study Hall This Thursday; No Classes This Friday

Study Hall students may join Extendo on Thursday if you need the coverage. They will be at Rochambeau until 4:30.

Also, thank you to everyone for completing the Survey Monkey form for Friday’s Staff Day. We will be open for the students who have been registered.

8th Graders to Samuel Taylor Park for Camping – next Monday to Wednesday

Our 8th graders will leave next Monday after lunch for a couple days of fun and camping to celebrate and bond with each other. They will spend their days cooking, eating, hiking and hanging out. Let’s hope this nice weather continues!

Kindergarten Family Welcome – Next Tuesday, May 23!

Newly accepted Kindergarteners and their families have been invited to meet their Kittredge classmates and teachers next Tuesday, May 23. We look forward to meeting our newest families and sharing some time together.

Next Wednesday Welcome our “Principals for a Day” – Ms. S and Ms. Z

Next Wednesday, May 24, Shani and Zoe Roitman (Ms. S. and Ms. Z.) will be our principals for the day! Please stop to say hello to them as they open doors at our morning drop off and help put students in cars at 3pm. They will also spend some time in Mr. L.’s office getting to put their feet up, having a cup of cocoa, recording our message on the school phone and generally working hard to fill Mr. L.’s shoes.

Last Day of Study Hall is Next Thursday, May 25!

As written on the contract, Thursday, May 26 will be the end of study hall and therefore the end of most daily homework assignments. There may, however, still be some work that students will be asked to complete at home. Extended Day drop in is available for any student who needs after school care.

End of Year Picnic and Beach Clean Up – Next Friday, May 26

The annual Kittredge end of the year picnic will be on Friday, May 26 at Baker Beach. Parents and families are invited to join us, so mark your calendars. The school will furnish paper products, condiments, ice and charcoal. Each class member will be asked to bring something from the following:

K/1: chips – 2 bags each

2/3: drinksthree 2-liter bottles each (no caffeine; water is recommended)

4/5: hot dogs & buns – 1 or 2 packs each

6: cookies – 1 or 2 bags each

7 & 8: salads or side dish – enough for 10

At 10:30 (while the picnic is being set up) the school will be leading an organized clean up of the beach area. The picnic will begin when the clean up is finished. Parents are welcome to come, help and eat.

Field Day is June 2 in Hellman Hollow

We are planning a great day of outdoor fun and activities in Hellman Hollow again. Continuing students can begin their search for their team color accessories, and new students will get their team color soon. Field Day t-shirts (thank you KPA!) will be distributed to everyone on that day… expect to have a great time! Details will be in next week’s Konnection.

Last Call for Talent Show DVDs!

Anyone who would like to purchase a DVD of this year’s wonderful talent show should let Trudy know. The KPA is selling them for a donation of $20 (a real bargain!). This is a limited time offer, as we will not be able to make copies after the school year ends. Please drop off the payment with your name and we will burn a copy for you.
