Make a Wish!


Make a wish! This week, Kittredge students are making ornaments that contain a wish they have for this upcoming year! These ornaments go on our Wish Tree, which was generously donated and set up for us by our wonderful KPA. What are you wishing for the upcoming year?


Conferences


Teacher conferences are this week! We look forward to seeing you and chatting about your children this Thursday and Friday.


Conference schedules are now solidified, so make sure you know when to join us! Please call the office if you need a reminder for your conference time, are running late or need any last-minute changes. Students can be dropped off to extendo during your conference, free of charge.


Extendo Available 12/11 and 12/12


This Thursday and Friday, 12/11 and 12/12, are minimum days. Students will be dismissed at 12pm. Please let us know if your child will be joining the Extended Day program using this google form.


Reminder: No Hot Lunch this Week


This Friday is a minimum day. There will be no hot lunch. Hot lunches will resume in January.

Pajama Day


The coziest, comfiest spirit day of the year is next Friday, December 19! The Kittredge community is encouraged to come to school in their favorite pair of pj's. Bunny slippers, fuzzy robes, and sleeping caps are also welcome!


Holiday Happening next Thursday!


We look forward to seeing the entire community on Thursday, 12/18 at 6:30 p.m. for the Holiday Happening! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to work a shift or bring a dessert. Food and refreshments will be provided. Join us for crafts and carnival games at 6:30 and please stay for caroling to close out the evening at 8 p.m.


There will be little to no homework on December 18. Study hall space is available for students who have projects and need to catch up or prepare homework. On Thursday, December 18 Extended Day closes at 5pm.  We recommend that children be picked up early enough to get ready at home for the Holiday Happening, which begins at 6:30pm.


Minimum Day Friday 12/19


Next Friday, December 19, is also a minimum day! Please let us know if your child will be joining the Extended Day program using this google form no later that Wednesday, December 17.


Looking Ahead


Winter Break


We will be on Winter Break from December 22-January 2. Classes will resume on January 5.


If you know of any planned absences for your child on either side of this break, please send an email to the office and your child's teacher to let us know.

Student Council


Our student council has done a terrific job for the start of the year. They are concluding their first term in January. If your child is in grades 4-8 and interested in running for student council please have them pick up a form to run in the next election--taking place on January 12. The future is bright!


Talent Show


This year is flying by and the talent show is on the horizon! Here is the form to fill out for any individual talent show acts. Please take time to give this form a look over and have both you and your child fill it out if they plan to audition for an individual act. We encourage any child interested to give it a try and show off their skills.


Please find all important information in the attached form and return to the office by 1/9!



After School Mandarin Class



We are incredibly happy to introduce a Kittredge Mandarin Class after school starting the first week of January.


  • Session Length: Each session will run for three months on Mondays, totaling 12 classes.


  • Frequency and Duration: Classes will be held once per week for 60 minutes.


  • Tuition: The cost is set at $350 USD per student for the full 12-class session.


Beginner I (Hànyǔ 1) True beginners with no prior Mandarin background. 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM


Beginner II (Hànyǔ 2) Students who have some prior background in Mandarin and have completed basic instruction. 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Holiday Happening: RSVPs and Volunteers Needed


The Holiday Happening is coming up on December 18 at 6:30 pm! Check your email for the Evite, and please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Thanks to everyone who has already signed up to help! Additional volunteers are needed to help with set-up, games, crafts and clean-up to help make this a great evening for the kids! Please sign up here!
