Kittredge Konnection - December 2, 2025

We are hoping everyone had a enjoyable and restful break, because wow did we have an eventful week before our break! We started of the week with a very special visit from local author, Eddie Ahn. Followed by our long awaited Academy of Sciences field trip with the whole school! Students and teachers alike got to take a stroll through the rainforest, explore the deep sea, and learn about this crazy world. And finally, our students received the surprise of their dreams on Friday with a very special visit from the one and only Mister Softee!!

Due to our community's overwhelming support at our KPA fundraiser and incredible amounts of participation, our kids had this very special visit. Thank you to all our families that have been so supportive this year and to our lovely KPA for setting up this surprise!!

7/8 Yosemite Meeting This Evening

7th and 8th grade parents you should have received an email about our Yosemite Meeting, that will take place TONIGHT from 6:30-7:30pm with snacks provided!

Here is a link to our Yosemite landing page where you will be able to find important information as well as updates and photos when our kids take to the wilderness!

Hot Lunch

Its a new month, so that means a new hot lunch order! Hot Lunch this Friday (11/14) will be: Mediterranean Plate (with falafel, hummus, pita, and veggies), Juice Box, Fruit/Veg, and a Side Item.

The cost of each lunch will be $9.00. A second (or even a third) slice, bagel, etc. may be ordered for an additional $3.00 each.

If you have not already filled it out, here is the form!

Orders are placed on Thursday morning. All orders must be submitted by end of day on Wednesday.

Make-up Pictures

Make-up pictures will be offered this Friday, December 5. If you would like to sign up for a re-do, please do so ASAP! You should have received a post card and an email from MugsyClicks with information about accessing your pictures.

Final Week to Donate Clothing

It's almost a wrap for Kittredge’s One Warm Coat Drive! Thank you to all who have helped fill our collection bins (inside the front door and the K/1 classroom) for St. Anthony's!

There's still room for more gently used coats/clothing for children and adults, including:

tops, bottoms, dresses and shoes

hats, gloves and scarves; belts; rain gear and umbrellas

towels and sheets; backpacks, duffel bags, purses or totes; blankets or sleeping bags

St. Anthony’s will also accept donations of any new socks, undergarments, diapers and cosmetic/personal hygiene items. Feel free to make a donation through next Monday. The bins will be picked up on Tuesday.

Spirit day is back next week with Dress as Your Future Self Day! What are you going to be when you grow up?? A doctor, athlete, teacher...

What will you do? Maybe art, music, sports...

What will you look like? What might the fashion be?

We can't wait to see our students dressed as their future selves!

Conferences

Teacher conferences are next week! We look forward to seeing you and chatting about your children on Thursday, December 11 or Friday, December 12.

Conference sign-ups should be completed by now. Please call the office if you are running late or need any last-minute changes. Students can be dropped off during your conference, free of charge.

Extendo Available 12/11 and 12/12

Next Thursday and Friday, 12/11 and 12/12, are minimum days. Students will be dismissed at 12pm. Please let us know if your child will be joining the Extended Day program using this google form.

Winter Break

One break ends, and another's just around the corner! We will be on Winter Break from December 23-January 3. Classes will resume on January 6. We wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season!

Holiday Happening: RSVPs and Volunteers Needed

The Holiday Happening is coming up on December 18 at 6:30 pm! Check your email for the Evite, and please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Thanks to everyone who has already signed up to help! Additional volunteers are needed to help with set-up, games, crafts and clean-up to help make this a great evening for the kids! Please sign up here! 

We’re also on the lookout for one more behind-the-scenes volunteer to help Michelle Ruettinger and Charlotte Mooney, who have kindly offered to bring the cookies and decorating supplies for our cookie decorating station.
