This Week's News
Invention Convention
Last week our 6th graders were able to share their long awaited inventions with family, teachers, and peers. It was incredible to see what our 6th graders came up with this year and watch them inspire the rest of the school. Well done!!
Pajama Day
The coziest, comfiest spirit day of the year is this Friday, December 19! The Kittredge community is encouraged to come to school in their favorite pair of pj's. Bunny slippers, fuzzy robes, and sleeping caps are also welcome!
Don’t Miss the Holiday Happening this Thursday!
Be sure to join us at Kittredge this Thursday, from 6:30-8 pm, for the annual Holiday
Happening! Our dynamic greeting duo, Ms. Pon-Barry and Kitt the Coyote, will be
waiting at the front door to welcome you. Then feel free to head to whatever room calls your name.
Hungry? Head downstairs to find food in the 2/3 room and enjoy it next door in the K/1 room. This main gathering spot will also feature a performance from Boswick the Clown between 6:45-7:45 pm (feel free to stop by anytime/watch as long as you want while you eat). Our Sing-Along Finale will follow in the same spot (7:50-8 pm).
Ready to capture some memories? Grab your friends or family members and hit the photo booth in the 6 th grade room on floor two (to the left of Olivia’s desk). The talented Derek Anuen will be ready to take your photo by the fire of our cozy winter cabin.
Feeling crafty? Check out the options in the 4/5 room on floor two (to the right of
Olivia’s desk). You can create a kind card for a senior who receives Meals on Wheels, craft a Lego snow globe and/or decorate some sugar cookies!
Looking for games and prizes? Go to floor three. You’ll find the fishing game and
Candy Cane Musical Chairs in the 8 th grade room (to your left at the top of the stairs). The Dreidel Game and Muffin Tin Match Game will be to your far right in the 7th grade room.
Need a place to chill? The Northern Lights Lounge in the small middle room at the top of stairs (between the 7 th and 8 th grade rooms) will offer a temporary escape from the noise.
Only a couple more volunteers are needed for the 25-minute shifts that make this
night possible--please sign up here today!
Interested in bringing drinks/other much-needed supplies? Please sign up here.
Thank you to everyone who is helping with this party!

Last Call for CMIs
The Count-Me-In website will be closing on Saturday, so please take a final look at the remaining CMIs and consider joining the fun! These events are great ways to build community among kids across different grades and among parents too. Start the new year right with a donut hike, stop motion animation, or karaoke party! And thank you to all of the CMI organizers and volunteers!
