No Study Hall this Thursday, December 15

Extended Day Closes at 5:00

There will be NO Study Hall on Thursday and Extended Day will close at 5pm, so that we can begin setting up for the Holiday Happening. We recommend that children be picked up early enough to get ready at home for the Holiday Happening, which begins at 6:30.

Holiday Happening – This Thursday from 6:30 – 8:00

All families are invited to attend Kittredge School’s annual Holiday Happening. Please mark your calendars now to make sure you don’t miss this wonderful event.

  1. A sandwich snack/dinner is provided.

  2. Please bring a finger food appetizer or dessert to share.

  3. There will be crafts and games for all.

  4. We’ll close with a community sing-a-long at 8.

  5. As always, a great time is expected!

Rumor has it that Santa will make an appearance.

Important Note To All Parents: Please remember that this is a family and community event. Teachers will be busy running games and helping with food and we rely on parents to watch and supervise their own children. The Kittredge Parent Association has worked hard to have activities for all, but we do not have space for students to invite friends outside of Kittredge to this event. Thanks for your help and support of our community.

Volunteers Needed for the Holiday Happening

The KPA hosts this school wide party and is looking for some wonderful community members to volunteer to help. Julie Velarde, the chair of the event, will appreciate some help setting up the crafts at 6pm, staffing the craft rooms during the party, and helping clean up at 8:15.

It’s always more fun when you have something to do during the party, so please email Julie and thank you in advance for your participation! greeni707@yahoo.com

Student Council Elections are Friday

We have some worthy candidates running for a few spots for the Kittredge Student Council. We congratulate all the students who are running. Since there is only one representative per office, the candidate who gets the most votes will be the representative. However, it must be said that anyone who is running now to represent the school is already a winner!

The candidates are:

4/5th grades class rep: Bee, Jacob, Charlotte, and Rachel

6th grade class rep: Tilden, Henry and Charlotte

7th grade class rep: Mia

Secretary: Ethan

President: Caroline

Student council elections will be held this Friday, December 16. Candidates for class representatives will be making their speeches in their classrooms at a time designated by the teacher. The candidates for president and secretary will address the whole school Thursday at 10:45. Good luck to all the candidates!
