Habit of Mind: Finding Humor

“If you can laugh at it, you can live with it.” - Erma Bombeck

Humor is what gets us through difficult times, and what allows us to find a new perspective. Being able to laugh at oneself promotes perseverence and a healthy self-esteem, while jokes and riddles encourage high-level thinking skills.

This month, we encourage students to find levity and humor in daily life, learn to laugh at themselves, and utilize creativity and spontaneity. At the same time, we hope students recall the previous habit of managing impulsivity, and remember to save humor for appropriate moments and to wield it with kindness.

Our JV futsal team has their next match tomorrow, Wednesday, April 3. They will face off against CDS at 4pm at Columbia Park. Go Coyotes!

Mythology/Fairytale Day is Tomorrow!

Do you have a favorite character from a fairytale or ancient myth? You're in luck! Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 3rd, is Fairytale/Mythology Day, where you can become whoever you want to be! Whether it's Little Red Riding Hood, Mother Goose, Thor, or Zeus, we can't wait to see who everyone will be.

Friday Minimum Day

Wa-hoo! This Friday is a minimum day with a 12pm dismissal. If you would like to send your child to Extended Day, please let us know using this Google form no later than Wednesday, April 3.
