Mary Kalita - Performing Arts
Mary Kalita (she/her) is a veteran teaching artist and performer who believes strongly in the value of an arts education. Mary trained as a classical ballet dancer in her youth. Then she redirected her focus to the dramatic arts, and subsequently earned a BFA in Musical Theater from Millikin University. Mary has served as a musical theater teaching artist and choreographer in the Bay Area since 2007 to many myriads of K-12 students, most recently serving as Dance Specialist at Bullis Charter School from 2009-2024. In addition to her work in the classroom, she is also an SF Bay Area Theater Critics Circle award-winning actor and mostly recently graced the stages of New Conservatory Theater Center, SF Playhouse, Ray of Light Theater, and Berkeley Playhouse. Mary loves, equally, the experience of performing on a stage, and using those skills to help others progress in their own artistic journeys.
