Mr. Riddle's Fourth & Fifth Grades
Pencils - many
Pencil box
Lined paper. Students may use regular lined paper kept in folders or perforated lined paper from non-spiral bound notebooks (Binders are not necessary. They take up a lot of space in the classroom and in the backpacks and are actually more than what we need. Students can stay equally organized with just pocket folders designated for various uses.)
Graph paper for math - loose or non-spiral bound. (It's helpful to keep a supply of graph paper and a supply of lined paper at home and at school)
Spiral notebook - one for science
Report folders - several. The kind with three fold-down clips.
Pocket folders - several. The kind with or without clips.
Erasers
Little pencil sharpener
Simple calculator
Lunch bags - one or two. The colored insulated bags or boxes with handles or straps are the best for us.
Water bottle - optional - The nice colorful ones are the best for helping the classroom look neat.

Mr. Young's Seventh/Eighth Grades
Two single-subject notebooks, preferably college-ruled. If your writing dictates larger lines, that's fine. Loose-leaf binders are discouraged as they take up so much space.
Pens are required for social studies. Any dark color will do, as long as they don't bleed through the page.
Pencils are required for math - erasable ink is NOT acceptable.
Unless we are graphing, graph paper will not be necessary. But if you like to do daily math assignments on graph paper please be sure to bring a large supply.
Two book covers. All books must be covered; paper bags make perfectly good, long lasting book covers.
Calculator. A simple, basic calculator will do for most tasks. More sophisticated scientific calculators come in handy at times, but if you are prone to losing your calculator, replacing scientific ones can get expensive. (Graphing calculators are also fine, but will not be necessary.) Please put your name on your calculator in large letters.
USB flash drive/memory stick. This way you won't have to email asssignments between home and school.
NOTE TO EIGHTH GRADERS: Be sure to see Ms. McKee's supply list as well!
